42’ Fraser sailboat for sale by owner($85000) in Nanaimo, British Columbia

We are selling our beloved family adventure mobile and starship, SV Distant Star. She has given us many wonderful adventures over the past 10 years, but our kids are now teenagers and wanna lock down as land lubbers for awhile. We left from Cortes Island BC to Mexico in 2019, across to French Polynesia in 2021, then to Hawaii last December. We have arrived back on Cortes island this past August. > Distant Star is a Fraser 42’, with an aft cockpit. Built in 1974, she is one of the original boats sturdily crafted by the De Kleer brothers.. Dutch engineering and made in Vancouver. There are 8 sleeping berths, and has been a cozy home for our family of five. Great central galley. Everything is in good working order and ready to go.

> Originally 42´long, we added a 4’ stainless steel platform on her stern making her 46´now, the platform can be easily removed if desired. She has a 4’ beam and a 6´draft .
> Major refit from 2016 to 2019 including:
