Le Matou will become much sought after in future years as she is one of the last of the diesel powered R-27s to be built. Future models are all powered with fuel feasting outboards thus changing the nature of this incredibly successful design. The current owners have used her gently and there are only 166 hours on the engine as I write. The R-27 is very similar to the older R-25 design but with a larger cockpit she gains better engine access and a quieter ride.
Currently basking in the spring sunshine on our Nanaimo sales dock this gem offers better value than the newer gas models, and an upgraded engine with less hours than the older diesel ones. The price point is pretty good too....
