This is a high-performance electric bike for those who want an electric bike with real power and torque behind it.
It has a mid-drive motor (not a cheap hub drive), a powerful 52v battery with huge 14A capacity, and both peddle assist and throttle. The motor is 1,000W and with the 30A controller and 52V battery, it peaks out at 1,560W which is extremely powerful and makes climbing hills take literally no effort. Mid-drives are the most expensive type of electric bikes because they center the weight and take advantage of the bike's gears. The BBSHD motor puts out 160NM (most ebikes have around 40-50) of torque which will zoom up a hill without straining the motor.
It has hydraulic disc brakes, the latest and most expensive display available, and even a gear sensor that will cut the motor when shifting.
The distance it can go will greatly vary depending on many factors such as your weight, the terrain (# of hills, for example), your speed, and how much you help peddle. As a rough approximation though, this 14A battery shoud get you around anywhere from 60-100KM before you need to recharge. The system can also be programmed to limit the speed.
Everything except the frame on the bike is brand new. The frame is a Large 2016 Kona Fire Mountain which was purchased from Rock City Cycles. I have receipts of every single thing on the bike. The pedals are upgraded after-market pedals.
I'm even throwing in a heavy-duty cable lock and tire foot pump.
